Scope and Contents of the Materials
This collection includes items and information collected by Mrs. Maurine Sublett Maness over the years. She also includes many of her speeches, correspondence, research materials, and miscellaneous information that she used for publications. There are also newspaper articles and bicentennial items that are noted.
Biographical Note
Mrs. Maurine Sublett Maness was the Dean of Women during the early 1950s. She was on staff as a teacher in the History Department and she also held the position of Director of the Wesleyan Archives and Museum.
