Abstract
In the late eighteenth century and early nineteenth century, the Pruitt family consisted of well known farmers and whiskey makers. Maurice Pruitt was an anesthesiologist in Chattanooga TN in the 1930s. His wife practiced anesthesiology as well. The Pruitt's had family in Lauderdale County, AL and in Virginia.
Scope and Contents of the Materials
This collection includes family history and genealogy of the Pruitt Family in the United States as well as in England. It includes family correspondence, military history and service records of family members, and materials for Bugger Saga, written by Maurice Collins Pruitt.
