Biographical Note for Jean Schulman Collection, 1978-2003 : A native of Franklin County, Jean Schulman has become one of the South's most reconized artists. She uses a unique process-she takes native North Alabama clays to dye fabric. She even has some of her work on permanent display in the Smithsonian Institute.
