This collection contains family history and genealogy of the Carpenter families as well as hundreds of related family members. James Ausie Carpenter, donor of the collection, researched and published The Carpenter and Related Family Journal. The history spans three close counties-Colbert, Lawrence, and Franklin. Also noted are a series of papers known as the Carpenter and Related Family Paper No. 1- No. 37.
